Established in 1964 CEL offers a broad range of chemical and microbiological testing services as well as providing process investigation and sampling. Initially the laboratory was part of Palmerston North City Council. It is now owned by Citilab Holdings Ltd since August 2010. We have more than 50 years of getting to know our community and fulfilling their testing requirements.
We provide analytical testing services to a broad spectrum of clients from corporate through to home owners wishing to ensure the quality of their drinking water. Testing services include but are not limited to water from the sources listed here

Central Environmental Laboratories are Accredited by International Accreditation New Zealand and are Taumata Arowai approved.
Our staff have a great deal of knowledge and experience in environmental monitoring and can assist in regulatory matters such as resource consent monitoring.
